Pegge
Scholarship
MSc in Evolutionary and Adaptive Systems
Initial Announcement - starting Oct 2010
Due to a generous donation from Andrew Pegge, further increased by
funding from the Department of Innovation, we can announce the Pegge
Scholarship to be awarded annually to postgraduate students taking the
MSc in Evolutionary and Adaptive Systems. This will be open to all, no
nationality or residency restriction. The Scholarship Fund currently
stands at £60,000 to be spread over 10 years.
This scholarship will first be available to students starting in
October 2010. It will be awarded on merit, and the awarding committee
may have discretion, according to circumstances, as to whether (a) to
award
an individual sufficient to pay (Home/EU level) fees plus some further
amount towards maintenance or (b) to give more separate awards limited
to reducing tuition fees.
* All applicants who have been accepted for the coming year will
automatically be considered for awards based
on merit (no nationality or residency conditions) taking into account
all the material submitted with the application.
* The awards committee will meet at the end of June, so to ensure
that an application will be considered it should be fully entered into
the Sussex application process by the middle of June.
***UPDATE***
All applicants whose applications had been received by 30th June 2010
were considered for these studentships. The quality of applicants
has been extremely high, and many were of a standard that merited
studentships. We have allocated 2 studentships, and they have been
notified by our administration and asked to confirm that they are
indeed able to take them up. We can announce the names once they have
been accepted.
We offer our regrets to those who have not been successful.

Convenor, EASy MSc
