In the HCI course, students do group projects where they undertake 'consultancy' usability and user testing projects with real world clients. We have worked with Brighton and Hove City Council and with Sussex Community Internet Project (SCIP) in previous years.

This is an advanced HCT topics course, covering areas of pervasive computing, tangible computing, ludic computing, designing for user experience, and so on. The students also undertake hands-on projects building applications using the tangible user interface toolkit phidgets. The students own notes on the projects can be seen in their HCCS page as well as an example video.
