Galileo @ Roedean

These pages describe a project based at Roedean School from October to December 1999. The aim of the project was to involve students from several Sussex schools in investigating aspects of the life and work of Galileo. Students were involved in the production of a play, carrying out scientific experiments, filming, making masks, composing music, producing a booklet and starting the development of this web site.

These pages are intended as a growing record of the project. Material will be added as it is collected and edited.

Much of the text available on these pages was produced by a small group of students who spent much of their time researching and writing. The material they wrote was never intended to be a comprehensive survey of Galileo's life - instead, it forms a collection of pieces on topics that they found interesting.
