- What are the main components of a Production System
and how do they work together to act as a Cognitive Model? (9)
- Describe how either ACT or SOAR has been
used to model some aspect of cognition. (8)
- Briefly discuss the strengths and weaknesses of production systems
as cognitive models. (8)
- What are the main components of a Feed Forward Neural Network
and how do they work together to act as a Cognitive Model? (9)
- By means of an example explain how a network can be made to
act as a model of a particular cognitive skill. (8)
- Briefly discuss the strengths and weaknesses of Feed Forward Neural
Networks as cognitive models. (8)
- Compare and contrast the Blocks World language understanding program
and its robot with the robots
exemplified by Braitenberg vehicles. (15)
- What are the strengths and weaknesses of each approach as
cognitive models? (10)
