
Psychological and Counselling Services was set up in 1995 as an amalgamation of existing but separate Counselling and Psychotherapy units in a purpose built building attached to the Health Centre.
The Unit has nine part time therapists, three administrative staff and an additional 25 post qualified and trainee counsellors, providing therapy to over 750 students at the University of Sussex every year. The therapy that is offered is both one-to-one and group therapy, including workshops for eating problems and anxiety management.
PCS Offers:
- Confidential individual and group therapy for students
- A consultation and referral service for staff.
- Specialist groups for anxiety management and eating problems
- Substance misuse programme
