The School of Life Sciences encompasses a wide variety of related disciplines concerned with the emergent properties of living systems, social systems, ecosystems and the fundamental molecular and cellular processes that are essential to life. It includes four departments of Biochemistry, Biology & Environmental Science, Chemistry, and Psychology, which span the range of life sciences, and a range of innovative Research Centres such as the Genome Damage and Stability Centre.
Salary Scales From 1 August 2002 (pay award pending)
| Lecturer Grade A: | £22,191 to £25,451 |
| Lecturer Grade B: | £26,270 to £33,679 |
| Senior Lecturer: | £35,251 to £39,958 |
| Professorial minimum: | £40,841 |
