Often one of the most distinct differences between universities is where they are located, and this will be a major factor in your decision of where to study.
Sussex is based in a town that is home to two universities. The benefit of this is that the town could have been designed for students. The facilities in the town have been created with students in mind and it means that the atmosphere of the place is very liberal, cosmopolitan and relaxed. As students form an unusually large proportion of the town's population - over 10 percent - it is easy for Brighton to feel like home, as there are always people around who are new to Brighton. As many graduates choose to stay in the town after University, the town is truly a university town with graduates working and living there. Many graduates choose to live in Brighton and work in London, because they don't want to leave.
