In addition, the University of Sussex and American Express have joined forces to offer the opportunity to study for the MSc part time while working for American Express for two years parttime. This opportunity is available to EU students only, and you must fulfil certain criteria (refer to the American Express box in the right-hand column below). Admission requirementsA good background in computing, information technology or any engineering discipline with a reasonable programming context. Students with a business-related degree may be accepted provided they have some programming experience. Programme structureAutumn term: you take the compulsory courses Academic Development; Object-Oriented Programming; and Internet Technologies. You also take two options such as: Management for E-Commerce; and Human-Computer Interaction. Other options may be available. Spring term: you take the compulsory course Information and Communication Technology Policy and Strategy. You also take two options from: Managing Innovation in Complex Product Systems; or Information Technology Systems; Web-Based Commerce; Data Mining; Artificial Intelligence Programming; Software Design and Evaluation; and E-Business. AssessmentTaught courses are assessed by a variety of methods including coursework, presentation, literature review, programming projects, unseen examinations and term papers. |
