The University is offering a number of Graduate Teaching Assistantships and Studentships for suitably qualified candidates to undertake research (MPhil or DPhil) starting in October 2004.

The School of Social Sciences and Cultural Studies and the Sussex Institute also welcome applications from candidates who intend to apply for the MSc in Social Research Methods as part of a 1+3 programme of research.
The Graduate Teaching Assistantships and Studentships are at least equal in value to a Home/EU fee waiver (candidates who have applied for an award from other funding bodies must, if successful, accept that award in preference to the Sussex award).
