globalisation and poverty programme

The impacts of trade reforms and trade shocks on household poverty dynamics
Linking the WTO to the poverty reduction agenda
Transnational migration, return and development in West Africa
PRUS is contributing to a three year DFID funded programme of research exploring the linkages between globalisation processes and poverty, launched to coincide with the White Paper on Globalisation published in Autumn 2000. Our three projects address different aspects of globalisation, from policy and institutional reform to movements of labour and capital. Each project is very much a collaborative effort between academics and researchers in the UK, and government and civil society organisations in the case study countries, which are drawn from Africa and Asia.
