the impact of the Cotonou Agreement on trade, production and poverty alleviation in the Caribbean region
research agenda
Michael Gasiorek is directing this DfID financed project, together with Julie Litchfield and Alan Winters. The aim of this project is to investigate the possible impact of the European Partnership Agreements (EPA) on the Caribbean region, and in particular on the smaller Caribbean economies.

The project has three component parts:

                (i) An analysis of trade flows and the relationship between the EPA process and greater intra-regional                 integration on the Caribbean economies.
(ii) An examination of the possible impact of a future EPA on product prices in selected Caribbean                     economies.
(iii) Building on the preceding analysis of the impact of the changes in prices on poverty on the                           selected Caribbean economies.
